A skilled and resilient workforce is critical to advancing transportation project delivery. Most U.S. DOT discretionary grants include selection criteria associated with creating good-paying jobs and expanding workforce opportunities. The checklist provides information on the components of an ideal plan and aims to encourage greater partnership between transportation and workforce agencies at the state and local levels. Applicants may not be required to address everything on the list to be competitive for a particular grant’s selection criterion. Please verify the Notice of Funding Opportunity for the specific grant you are applying for to ensure you are responsive to that application.
  • The Build America Bureau provides resources for finding credit opportunities, accessing technical assistance, and highlighting best practices in project planning, financing, delivery, and monitoring.
