Department of the Interior - Alternative Fuel Guidelines for Alternative Transportation Systems

Volpe documented the increased use of alternative fuels on vehicles owned and operated by federal land management agencies. For each alternative fuel type, Volpe documented the availability of vehicles, fueling mechanisms and prices, operational and maintenance issues, storage and handling issues, environmental and safety consideration, and examples of their use on federal lands.
