About the Library

Volpe’s library is the knowledge repository of all Volpe-authored reports, journal articles, and conference papers and presentations. Housing more than 45 years of transportation research, the library actively engages in information support and research to transportation researchers both within and outside of Volpe.

With over 4,800 Volpe-authored publications in the National Transportation Library, 23,000 books, technical reports, and 100 journal subscriptions, the library’s collection represents a significant wealth of transportation literature.

The library is open to the public by appointment only. To schedule a visit, please email the librarian at VolpeLibrary@dot.gov.
