Maurice Desruisseau

Director of Information Technology, Information Systems Security Manager

Maurice DesruisseauMaurice Desruisseau is the director of Information Technology and the information systems security manager at the U.S. DOT Volpe Center. In this role, Desruisseau designs, implements, and manages IT security programs and controls, and oversees the operations of the Office of Information Technology, which consists of specialists in the fields of network engineering, systems administration, cybersecurity, end user support, and SharePoint systems integration.

Desruisseau recently worked on a cross-organizational initiative commissioned by the U.S. DOT Office of the Chief Information Officer as part of DestinationsDIGITAL.

He has 30+ years of experience in the field of information technology, with expertise in IT operations, large-scale IT systems integration, new technology deployment, server security configuration management, and data loss prevention.

Prior to coming to the Volpe Center, Desruisseau worked for Jacobs Technology Inc. as a cyber systems engineer, working on classified cyber systems for the U.S. Air Force. He also worked for more than 12 years at Fidelity Investments in various IT operations roles, managing teams of IT professionals. Among these roles, he served as director of Information Security Services, where he led a multi-organizational initiative to address server security configuration issues.

Desruisseau holds a master of science in computer information systems from Boston University, a bachelor of science in computer information systems from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, and an associate of science in electrical engineering from Merrimack College. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional.
