Rich McArdle
Rich McArdle is the managing director for Global Operations Policy for UPS. In this role, he oversees UPS’s global operations policy including customs and cargo security matters.
Previously, McArdle held positions as senior vice president of International Public Affairs and senior vice president of State Public Affairs for UPS. He joined Corporate Public Affairs in 2010.
McArdle began his career with UPS in 1982 working as an operations employee in Louisville, KY. In 1985, McArdle was part of the UPS team that initiated International Air Service between the United States and Europe. As an industrial engineer, he developed operating plans for further expansions to Canada, Japan, Southeast Asia, and Central America.
McArdle capped off his Louisville assignment by running UPS’s Import and Export Division. Beginning in 1997, McArdle took on a variety of roles while relocating across the country running air and ground operations, and culminating in his role as the chief operating officer of North and South Carolina.
