Steven Lang, director of Air Traffic Systems and Operations, will retire from Volpe on October 31. Lang joined Volpe in 2011 and has a career spanning nearly 40 years in air traffic control and air traffic management.
Volpe Director Robert Johns will leave Volpe at the end of December to return to his home state of Minnesota. “We’re looking for the next great leader to carry the torch at Volpe,” said U.S. DOT Assistant Secretary for Research and Technology Gregory Winfree.
