Federal Cyber Security Summit
In support of the Department of Transportation's Cybersecurity Awareness Month, Volpe is hosting a Federal Cyber Security Summit. This security summit is a one-day event that is open to staff from federal, tribal, and state agencies.
The summit consists of security and risk-based technical sessions, given by industry experts, that will that will touch on the following topics:
- Advanced persistence threats
- Data loss prevention
- File access monitoring
- Anomaly detection
- Federated identity management
- Moving devices to mobile platforms
- Bring your own device (BYOD)
- Cloud security
- Privacy
Additionally, there will be 20+ exhibitor booths that offer an excellent opportunity to learn about the latest advances in technology through an interactive approach with attendees. Participants will showcase their products and services for federal and state attendees. The Exhibit Hall supports the technical program theme, demonstrating new, innovative ideas and sharing best practices that promote potential solutions to current security-based technology challenges.
Attendance at these sessions counts as one hour against continuing education units (CEUs) per session for those that wish to use them to fulfill professional certification requirements. It also counts as one hour per session against the DOT/Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) specialized security training requirements for federal and federal contractor staff.
