U.S. DOT's SBIR 15.1 Solicitation Has Been Amended

Please review Amendment 001 before preparing and submitting a proposal for U.S. DOT's SBIR 15.1 solicitation. Anyone submitting a proposal for Topic 15.1-FR9: Portable Rail Suspension Displacement Monitoring Sensor must include a signed copy of this amendment as the first page of the PDF of their technical proposal. This page will not count towards the technical proposal page limit. All proposals must be submitted though our online submission portal.

The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program's 15.1 Solicitation is open through March 9, 2015This is the first SBIR solicitation of fiscal year 2015. It opened January 6, 2015.

            

How to Apply

  • Read the 15.1 Solicitation for information about the 15.1 topics and about proposal requirements
  • Review the 15.1 Technical and Administrative Questions
    • If you do not see the answer to your question(s), submit additional technical or administrative questions to the U.S. DOT SBIR Program Office at dotsbir@dot.gov
    • The office will only answer questions submitted by email on or before 11:59 p.m. EST on Friday, February 20, 2015
    • All questions and answers will be posted as soon as they are received and answered by our experts
  • Submit a proposal through our secure site, starting Monday, February 2, 2015

We will notify all applicants of their proposal status by June 7, 2015 (90 days after the close of the solicitation).

U.S. DOT does not provide information on Technical Points of Contact for the topics in the solicitation. Your only contact with U.S. DOT relative to this solicitation during the Phase I proposal preparation and evaluation period is with DOT's SBIR Program Office. You must submit all technical and administrative questions relative to the 15.1 solicitation via email to dotsbir@dot.gov.
