Volpe Featured on New Cable TV Series

Volpe, The National Transportation Systems Center, was recently showcased on a new cable TV series, Your Federal Government. The 30-minute episode features Director Robert Johns discussing Volpe's history and our unique role in the federal government, functioning as both a consultant and a federal agency.
The show provides insight into Volpe's project portfolio, featuring narrated footage of some of our critical labs and systems. A peek inside the Human Factors Lab includes footage of both our train (at 11:56 in the episode) and airplane simulators (12:16). The episode then focuses on Volpe's Maritime Lab, where the award-winning Maritime Safety and Security Information System (MSSIS) is introduced (12:32 and 14:35). Traffic flow management is the final system highlighted in Volpe's episode (14:01).
The Greater Boston Federal Executive Board recently launched Your Federal Government, a new cable TV series that disseminates information about various federal agencies. The shows are not political and range from 30-60 minutes long. Eleven additional episodes, featuring other federal agencies, are also available on YouTube.
