With over 27,000 books and technical reports covering all modes of transportation, 180 professional and general interest journals, and 250,000 microfiche titles, the library's collection represents a significant wealth of transportation literature. Staffed by professional information specialists skilled in data storage and retrieval techniques and research methods, the library serves as a valuable link in the Volpe Center's mission of improving the nation's transportation systems.
