THE VOLPE CENTER MISSION STATEMENT
In support of departmental polict objectives, the VOLPE NATIONAL TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS CENTER shall anticipate future national, state, local, and international transportation and logistics issues and requirements, and respond to current needs and priorities in accordance with its role as the national center of transportation and logistics expertise.

THE VOLPE CENTER MISSION:

  • Provide support for national transportation-related initiatives and acquisitions.
  • Enhance the nation's capabilities to meet future transportation requirements.
  • Anticipate and create awareness of national and international transportation trends and issues.
  • Serve as a bridge to industry, academia, and other government agencies.
