Supporting UN Sanctions Through Transportation Technology (DOS)
The Volpe Center's Advanced Concepts Division has been supporting the U.S. State Department in its mission to assist the United Nations in the enforcement of sanctions against Serbia and Montenegro. Recently, this work included the installation of an extensive transportation information and satellite communication system. The system is used in the field, at border stations and check points by the sanctions assistance teams.
