Awards
- American Academy of Environmental Engineers. On October 27, 2005, the Volpe Centers' Environmental Engineering Division and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Region 8 Team were awarded the 2005 Honor Award for Libby Asbestos Project Operations/ Management by the American Academy of Environmental Engineers. For the past four years, the Center has supported EPA's time-critical removal action in Libby, Montana, and associated sites. (See "Environmental Stewardship" for a related story.)
