Maglev Demonstration Project, 2000

Previous Project | Next Project

SPONSOR: Federal Transit Administration.
VOLPE INTERNAL: Center for Transportation Information, DTS-44

Several state and local governments submitted proposals to FTA for implementation of a maglev demonstration project. The suggested routes and stations for each system were laid out on a map of the area and projected populations served by each station were determined from Census data. The resulting map for each system demonstrates the routes served and the residential population within one-, three-, and five-mile buffers.
