TSC Child Care - Volpe's Accredited On-site Child Development Center
Beginning at 7:30 each morning, dozens of children, ranging in age from three months to five years, arrive at the TSC Child Care Center to start a day of fun and developmental activities consisting of playing, learning, singing, reading, eating, and napping. On a typical day, 7 infants, 14 toddlers, and 24 preschoolers spend their day interacting with TSC Child Care staff and with each other.

An integral part of the Volpe Center's "family friendly" workplace, the TSC Child Care Center opened its doors on September 7, 1987. Other Volpe Center family friendly programs include our on-site fitness center and health unit, employee assistance program (counseling), work and family seminars, free parking or transit benefit, credit hours, and telecommuting.

Our mission
The mission of the Child Care Center is to create a safe, nurturing, and quality environment that fosters the total social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development of all our children.
TSC Child Care offers services without discrimination based upon sex, race, religious belief, national origin, cultural heritage, political affiliation, marital status, age, creed, sexual orientation, or physical difference.

TSC Child Care, founded in 1987 by a team of federal and on-site contractors, has thrived over the years. It offers quality and affordable child care services to the Volpe Center community and employees of local businesses. A Board of Directors, comprised mostly of parents, oversees the operation and management of this parent-run, nonprofit child care center. The Massachusetts Office for Child Care Services is the licensing authority. In the spring of 1998, the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs (NAEYC) granted accreditation to the TSC Child Care Center. Receiving NAEYC accreditation represents the epitome of excellence for child care centers, having been achieved by only 5% of early childhood programs nationwide.
