David S. Ishihara has nearly twenty years of experience in airport management/transportation security, beginning with the position of Assistant Airport Manager of the Portland, Maine, International Jetport from 1992-1998.
He was most recently the Director of Aviation Operations for the Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport) at Logan Airport, with responsibility for all landside, terminal, and airside operations with over 360 employees at the 19th largest airport in the United States. Prior to joining Massport, he spent five years with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security/Transportation Security Administration (TSA), where he was involved in the startup operations of this newly established agency for which he received the Distinguished Federal Executive of the Year Award. He advanced to the position of Deputy Director in Boston with more than 1,000 employees and, subsequently, Director of the TSA in Hartford, Connecticut, with over 330 employees and an area of responsibility that included the entire State of Connecticut. Dave also worked for three years as Civil Aviation Security Field Office Manager and Federal Security Manager with the U.S. Department of Transportation/Federal Aviation Administration in Boston.
Mr. Ishihara holds a Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management from the Florida Institute of Technology.
