Eric Frykenberg, Director of the Office of Information Technology

Eric Frykenberg joined the Volpe Center as Chief Information Officer in January 2006. Eric came to the Volpe Center after serving as Regional Chief Information Officer for the General Services Administration's Southwestern Region in Fort Worth, Texas. Prior to his position at the General Services Administration, Eric served as the Chief Information Officer for U.S. Naval Station in Rota, Spain. In addition to working as a CIO, Eric has also held a number of senior level information technology systems analyst and project manager positions in various U.S. Government agencies. Eric is Project Management Professional (PMP) certified and has an MBA in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix.
