Andrew R. Malwitz Andrew R. Malwitz

Mr. Malwitz became a member of the Environmental Measurements and Modeling team in June 2002 as a student trainee, and became a full time employee after earning his degree in June 2003.

After coming on full-time, Mr. Malwitz became a team member of the FAA's System for assessing Aviation's Global Emissions (SAGE). His tasks consisted of identifying and mitigating issues within the SAGE model. SAGE is a state-of-the-art computer model that models worldwide fuel burn and emissions. Since 2005, he has worked in incorporating the aspects of SAGE in to the Aviation Environmental Design Tool (AEDT), an environmental model that combines noise and emissions modeling capabilities at the global and local levels, including the integration of economic and future-technology predictive capabilities.
